I would like to thank Soldiers of Hope. I am not a Veteran, but a widower, elderly and physically challenged. Recently, I’ve had shingles, Covid, Gall bladder surgery, open heart surgery and several other surgeries along with C-diff. I now find myself confined to a wheelchair. Temporarily living in my mom’s home which allows me access in, where my own home I could not get in due to several steps.
I would not have been able to move back into my home if it wasn’t for Brian Thomas and his associates from Soldiers of Hope. They installed a 30’ aluminum handicap ramp in the back of my house now giving me access to get in. Additionally, they installed a walk-in shower with all the accessories, and widened my bathroom door for wheelchair access. This now makes it possible for me to shower. The completely refinished my bathroom not only with a walk-in shower, but new floors and fresh paint. They were able to do this at no cost to me. With the support of donations from local churches and private individuals. Thank God because these improvements would have been cost prohibitive for me. This is a fine organization that keeps on giving.
I can’t get into my bed at present, and when my sleep recliner broke, Brian Thomas sent a text to 25 of his friends to search for one. Someone had one and donated it to me. Brian had it delivered and set up for me. As I’m confined to a wheelchair Brian also found someone to come in and help around the house and get things organized as I’ve been away for 16 months. It’s amazing, I can’t give them enough praise. I pray people will dig deep and donate to this fine organization.
THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLE. THANK YOU SOLDIERS OF HOPE.
